If you need a quick knitting project, then this classic fisherman-style double rib beanie is the one for you! Knitted using chunky 14 ply yarn, you can knit and wear this free beanie pattern in the same weekend.
Perfect for teens and adults, you can leave the beanie plain, or finish it with a funky pom-pom in a matching or contrasting colour (as pictured). I used Patons Inca yarn (shade: Petrol) for the beanie pictured.
You can wear the beanie in the traditional way with a rolled brim, or slouchy with no brim.
The double-rib pattern makes the beanie super stretchy and it will fit most small-medium adult heads.
A hand-knitted beanie makes a perfect Christmas present (or keep it for yourself and be toasty warm next winter).
The free beanie pattern is available as a downloadable PDF file from the Chookapeck Shop.
